Never expect the Baltit Fort was restored and preserved in such a good condition. The interior has brought forth a strong feeling of originality. The Baltit Fort is deserved to be a World Heritage Site.

The Baltit Fort was built 775 years ago, when the Hunza and Nagar were still independent traditional rival states, the marriage of Ayasho II, Mir of Hunza with Princess Shah Khatoon from Baltisan brought the Tibetan influence to the structure of the Fort because Baltistan was part of the Tibetan Empire in early days.
The ticketer Mr Alamgir invited us to his house to see his gardens which were full of apple trees, apricot trees, plum trees etc with some cows, goats and sheep. We then had salty goat milk tea and Hunza bread at his house. After that we went for another invitation by Sayeed, a cook in Baltit Inn, for dinner. The people in Hunza were way too hospitable, for 2 days we had attended quite a number of invitations in the village.
